Mat supported the Australian Government in the development of environmental policy and the rollout of large natural resource management programs.
In particular, he applied his qualifications in economics and government, and personal experience with finance, administration & IT, to help the Government build and then utilise a multi-billion dollar portfolio of environmental water in the Murray-Darling Basin.
Transitioning from public service, Mat continues his dedication to community advancement through active volunteerism. His altruistic endeavours span domains such as disability, animal welfare, social isolation, education, and the environment.
