No More Butts and Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Campaign joined forces in November 2024 to deliver 9 Great Butt Hunts across Australia.
With funding from Queensland Gives By Queensland Community Foundation, No More Butts will be delivering five Butt Hunts across North Queensland by the end of June 2024.
Kicking off with the Big Butt Hunt in Cairns on August 30th 2023, No More Butts will expand this fun event to other LGAs in Northern Queensland.
In recognition of our efforts, No More Butts Founder, Shannon Mead, received a certificate in Townsville in early September 2023.

Volunteers bagged thousands of discarded cigarette butts, which will be ‘fed’ to mushrooms in an Australian trial.
We acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples around the world. We honour them as the original and continuing stewards who have cared for these beautiful lands and waters since time immemorial, and we recognise their profound and enduring connection to culture and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and to all Indigenous Peoples. As an organisation, we are committed to learning from and supporting Indigenous communities in our work.
