OzFish works with rec fishers and locals to restore healthy, thriving fish habitat for the fish we all love. Litter in and along waterways can smother fish habitat and injure fish, leading to population decline.
In their own words, OzFish is "excited to partner with No More Butts on the Big Butt Hunt, and help bring awareness to the most highly littered item around the world – cigarette butts."

Partner Spotlight: Beach Patrol Australia
Beach Patrol Australia includes Beach Patrol and Love our Street groups across Victoria. In 2026 they welcomed their first NSW group. In 2026, they have already picked up and counted around 60,000 cigarette butts, which is just a small proportion of the total butts on our streets and beaches.
According to Beach Patrol, "The Big Butt hunt provides an opportunity for Beach Patrol Australia to draw attention to the issue of plastic pollution generally, and butts in particular. While we seem to be making progress on some litter items such as plastic bags and straws, cigarette butt litter just seems to be getting worse. Butts travel via the stormwater system and end up in our waterways and bays as an unsightly litter item and a danger to wildlife. We are proud to partner with No More Butts and be involved in the Big Butt Hunt again in 2026."
