Partner Spotlight: OzFish Unlimited
OzFish works with rec fishers and locals to restore healthy, thriving fish habitat for the fish we all love. Litter in and along waterways can smother fish habitat and injure fish, leading to population decline.
In their own words, OzFish is "excited to partner with No More Butts on the Big Butt Hunt, and help bring awareness to the most highly littered item around the world – cigarette butts."

Partner Spotlight: Beach Patrol Australia
Beach Patrol Australia includes Beach Patrol and Love our Street groups across Victoria. In 2026 they welcomed their first NSW group. In 2026, they have already picked up and counted around 60,000 cigarette butts, which is just a small proportion of the total butts on our streets and beaches.
According to Beach Patrol, "The Big Butt hunt provides an opportunity for Beach Patrol Australia to draw attention to the issue of plastic pollution generally, and butts in particular. While we seem to be making progress on some litter items such as plastic bags and straws, cigarette butt litter just seems to be getting worse. Butts travel via the stormwater system and end up in our waterways and bays as an unsightly litter item and a danger to wildlife. We are proud to partner with No More Butts and be involved in the Big Butt Hunt again in 2026."
Partner Spotlight: Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Campaign
We’re proud to have Sea Shepherd Australia joining us for the 2026 Big Butt Hunt 🏴☠️
Through their Marine Debris Campaign, Sea Shepherd works to tackle the growing problem of rubbish entering and polluting our oceans. And there’s one tiny piece of litter that is causing HUGE problems: cigarette butts. They have the amazing (and disgusting) milestone of already having collected more than 1 million butts across Australia since 2015.
In their own words, Sea Shepherd Australia says, “Cigarette butts are small but don't let that fool you. They are the number one item we find at our community clean ups and every cigarette butt can contaminate around 40 litres of water.
The Big Butt Hunt is a great example of what can be achieved when people come together and take action. We are proud continue to stand alongside No More Butts in the fight to keep our waterways and oceans butt free.”
Partner Spotlight: Bottle Top Hill
Bottle Top Hill is an Environmental Sustainability Community Group based in Western Australia and run completely by volunteers from Perth & its surrounds. The focus of BTH is to engage, educate and raise awareness on many elements of sustainability, as well as providing regular pop-events to help the public with ‘tricky-to-recycle’ items.
Bottle Top Hill notes, "Litter clean ups and micro-plastic surveys form part of our community service, with cigarette butts and vapes becoming increasingly evident on our streets, nature walks and in our waterways. We are looking forward to collaborating with others at an iconic Perth location for this year's Big Butt Hunt 2026 and help address the issues surrounding the most littered item on the planet."
